Merry Christmas!

 

 

Christmas was the absolute best this year! Family, friends, and food (alot of food)....Doesn't get much better than that! Christmas eve my dads side of the family gets together and there's so many of us its getting a little crazy, but still fun! Santa came, and everyone got a little gift..its so fun to watch all the littles get so excited for santa :)

Then after we opened gifts at my auntie house and put out reindeer food, milk and cookies at home and snuggled into bed in our Christmas jammies :)

i've found a new best friend this week..

The couch that is! I've been sicker than a dog for the past week, and I just can't seem to shake it! I had a fever of 102 for two days straight, and man..that killed me. I'm starting to feel better now, and I can't wait for some fun family christmas time the next couple days! I LOVE CHRISTMAS! My family gets pretty crazy during christmas so it's a lot of fun! Be expecting a ton of pictures the next couple of weeks! I hope everyone has a great christmas! Keep your loved ones in your prayers, and remember those who can't be here during this special holiday..

Praying..

I've had a really hard time dealing with the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting...It really hit close to home when I have a little seven year old brother at home who I walk into school every morning and let him on his way to his class, where he should feel the safest. I cannot image the pain those families are going through right now. Those poor babies..their innocent little lives, taken from them, from such a scary, horrible man. I just keep wondering what they were thinking when their own classmates lives were taken right in front of their little eyes. How scared they were? Were they screaming for their mommies and daddys? I just don't understand why someone could ever do something so horrible. The past couple of days I haven't been able to fall asleep. I just lay there thinking of how lucky I am to be able to say I am 17 years old, and to have such a healthy and beautiful family. This really makes me realize to not take anything for granted and realize anything can happen. Newtown has about 2,000 people, the same exact as my little town in MI. Little communities like mine and Newtown are supposed to be the safest, everyone knows everyone..Nobody would ever want to hurt each other..but I guess I need to not be so vulnerable, and remember that anything can happen. I just pray every night for these families, and I hope that someday they will be able to move forward and just think of the great impact their babies had on this world...We now have 26 beautiful angels looking down on us.

So much to do...so little time

In a perfect world I would be posting 2-3 times a week, with multiple outfit posts, a ton of wonderful pictures and great write ups. But unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world, so therefore I never have time to post or do any of that super-awesome sounding stuff! So anyhow, in my "un-perfect" world, I will proceed to go to school for one hundred-and-fifty-seven more days, which seems to be a horribly long amount of time. I will go to basketball practice, and win some more games..hopefully not lose any ;) I will work occasionally on some Saturdays, I will spend time with my amazing family and boyfriend. ANNNDDDD....I will hopefully get maybe more than 1 post every 2 months in..so sorry.. I just need more time in the day! And some more help on blogger :/ I really know this blog looks very sad..so if anyone out there knows and cool tricks ;) pleasssse help a girl out!

A new start..

Thursday started my final year in highschool, the last time I'll spend all night looking to find the "right" outfit for the first day, the last time I'll get to walk in the doors of LHS on the first day of school. It felt wonderful..I just have this feeling that the year is going to be great! Although I can't wait to start my first year of college, I definetly need to enjoy my senior year as much as I can. Let me tell you, I am so excited to go to college so I can be completely drama-free. I could care less whose sleeping with who..etc! Seriously, in my small town everyone is up in everyones business..everyone knows everyone..literally..it's no fun. I'm jealous of all you city people, and I'm not just saying that..I'd love to go to a school where hardly anyone knows each other. I thought that it would be a good time to start blogging again, like I said.. a new start. I've been busy with cross country lately, it has been really fun..sometimes it's a struggle, but gosh is it a good feeling crossing that fnish line knowing you took off 2 whole minutes off your previous time. 22:20 :) I'm proud of that..my best time ever. My sister Paige is running for Ferris State and she loves it! She had her first meet and got 12th..I'm so proud of her, and taking Pre-Pharm classes! Well I hope I will get to be on here more..it doesn't really help having a slow computer..Oh and by the way, today school got cancelled due to a major water line breakage in our town..pretty nice little break. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.

my fourth with the rebel..

My fourth of July was great..and I hope yours was as well. Although the fireworks got cancelled, due to a big storm, it was a great time with family.

Yesterday I went to Pictured Rocks in Munising, MI with Parker and some good friends! It was a lot of fun, and today i look like Rudolph.. These pictures were taken on my <i>new</i> canon rebel t3..i'm in  love, but not very good at using it yet! It's gonna take some time! So if anyone has any good tips! Let me know :)
