Merry Christmas!

 

 

Christmas was the absolute best this year! Family, friends, and food (alot of food)....Doesn't get much better than that! Christmas eve my dads side of the family gets together and there's so many of us its getting a little crazy, but still fun! Santa came, and everyone got a little gift..its so fun to watch all the littles get so excited for santa :)

Then after we opened gifts at my auntie house and put out reindeer food, milk and cookies at home and snuggled into bed in our Christmas jammies :)

i've found a new best friend this week..

The couch that is! I've been sicker than a dog for the past week, and I just can't seem to shake it! I had a fever of 102 for two days straight, and man..that killed me. I'm starting to feel better now, and I can't wait for some fun family christmas time the next couple days! I LOVE CHRISTMAS! My family gets pretty crazy during christmas so it's a lot of fun! Be expecting a ton of pictures the next couple of weeks! I hope everyone has a great christmas! Keep your loved ones in your prayers, and remember those who can't be here during this special holiday..

Praying..

I've had a really hard time dealing with the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting...It really hit close to home when I have a little seven year old brother at home who I walk into school every morning and let him on his way to his class, where he should feel the safest. I cannot image the pain those families are going through right now. Those poor babies..their innocent little lives, taken from them, from such a scary, horrible man. I just keep wondering what they were thinking when their own classmates lives were taken right in front of their little eyes. How scared they were? Were they screaming for their mommies and daddys? I just don't understand why someone could ever do something so horrible. The past couple of days I haven't been able to fall asleep. I just lay there thinking of how lucky I am to be able to say I am 17 years old, and to have such a healthy and beautiful family. This really makes me realize to not take anything for granted and realize anything can happen. Newtown has about 2,000 people, the same exact as my little town in MI. Little communities like mine and Newtown are supposed to be the safest, everyone knows everyone..Nobody would ever want to hurt each other..but I guess I need to not be so vulnerable, and remember that anything can happen. I just pray every night for these families, and I hope that someday they will be able to move forward and just think of the great impact their babies had on this world...We now have 26 beautiful angels looking down on us.

So much to do...so little time

In a perfect world I would be posting 2-3 times a week, with multiple outfit posts, a ton of wonderful pictures and great write ups. But unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world, so therefore I never have time to post or do any of that super-awesome sounding stuff! So anyhow, in my "un-perfect" world, I will proceed to go to school for one hundred-and-fifty-seven more days, which seems to be a horribly long amount of time. I will go to basketball practice, and win some more games..hopefully not lose any ;) I will work occasionally on some Saturdays, I will spend time with my amazing family and boyfriend. ANNNDDDD....I will hopefully get maybe more than 1 post every 2 months in..so sorry.. I just need more time in the day! And some more help on blogger :/ I really know this blog looks very sad..so if anyone out there knows and cool tricks ;) pleasssse help a girl out!

A new start..

Thursday started my final year in highschool, the last time I'll spend all night looking to find the "right" outfit for the first day, the last time I'll get to walk in the doors of LHS on the first day of school. It felt wonderful..I just have this feeling that the year is going to be great! Although I can't wait to start my first year of college, I definetly need to enjoy my senior year as much as I can. Let me tell you, I am so excited to go to college so I can be completely drama-free. I could care less whose sleeping with who..etc! Seriously, in my small town everyone is up in everyones business..everyone knows everyone..literally..it's no fun. I'm jealous of all you city people, and I'm not just saying that..I'd love to go to a school where hardly anyone knows each other. I thought that it would be a good time to start blogging again, like I said.. a new start. I've been busy with cross country lately, it has been really fun..sometimes it's a struggle, but gosh is it a good feeling crossing that fnish line knowing you took off 2 whole minutes off your previous time. 22:20 :) I'm proud of that..my best time ever. My sister Paige is running for Ferris State and she loves it! She had her first meet and got 12th..I'm so proud of her, and taking Pre-Pharm classes! Well I hope I will get to be on here more..it doesn't really help having a slow computer..Oh and by the way, today school got cancelled due to a major water line breakage in our town..pretty nice little break. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.

my fourth with the rebel..

My fourth of July was great..and I hope yours was as well. Although the fireworks got cancelled, due to a big storm, it was a great time with family.

Yesterday I went to Pictured Rocks in Munising, MI with Parker and some good friends! It was a lot of fun, and today i look like Rudolph.. These pictures were taken on my <i>new</i> canon rebel t3..i'm in  love, but not very good at using it yet! It's gonna take some time! So if anyone has any good tips! Let me know :)

our cute little "weekend"

Why hello, again! ;) So, Parker has kind-of a messed up work schedule, and he gets Wednesday/Thursday off! So pretty much when all the fun stuff is going on, he has to miss out.. :( poor guy..but this "weekend" was a lot of fun time with just us. Tuesday he was a hard workin' man til about 5 and then he came over and we just relaxed by my pool and got a little sun, and then he decides we should go to the beach and pick beach glass..he's such a sweetheart. (just wait, it gets better;) so first we go to this little spot on the lake..pictured below. And were walkin' around, la de da..i'm just soaking in all the beautiful-ness of Lake Superior, and this smoking' hott guy comes up behind me(parker;) and hold out an adorable little blue bag..from...TIFFANY..TIFFANY people..this guy is something else..i didn't even know what to do..say..or anything! so i just kinda let out a squeal, and said "thank you!"*surprised look on face*. Then he just says of course, like its no big deal..yup ladies, he's that sweet ;) so then from there, me with my little giddy-like 5 year old that just came out of the candy store look..and him with his cute-big muscle self get back into the car and go pick some beach glass..and drift wood. Let's just say that night i did not go to bed with a frown! Yesterday was pretty laid-back and we just painted some drift wood, and laid out by the pool..it was nice to say the least. i mean what can get better than a muscular boyfriend with tanning oil on..pretty much nothin'! ;) so then later on in the day we went out to his brothers and soon to be sister-in-law's house by the lake and just visited..it was nice :) Oh, i almost forgot..about my new camera..it should be in 2 freakin' days after the fourth..so i won't even get to try it out there! i'm not a happy camper about that! but anywhooooo..i'll catchya lataaaa! ;) xo.

I'm terrible

I'm so sorry my dears, I've not gotten to post in so long! I will have one in couple days! Promise this time :) P.s- ordered a canon rebel t3 tonight! Ah can't wait to get that baby! I'm so excited I could peeeee! P.P.S-P got me a Tiffany necklace and surprised me with it tonight "just because"! God do I love that boy.. Or should I say man.. a little bit of this, & a little bit of that..

This past weekend/ beginning of the week was full of lots of random stuff.. Friday i went to Houghton for "Bridgefest" and hung out with my sister and some of her MTU friends, it was a lot of fun..got kicked out of a bar..to say the least..haha, then saturday i worked again, and then went to my aunts retirement party with my adorable cousins below. i cannot get enough of their curly hair! Then i hung out with my dear friend brianna..sunday was fathers day,my poor hard workin' dad had to work til 2 :( so my mother made a nice ham dinner and we had dinner..me minus the ham..i'm a veg ;) then i went out to Parker's grandma's house and hung out with his fam..Monday i sat around all day..watched my mom and dad paint my room! also below picture..Oh! my mom and i went to St.Vinnies and picked up this adorable table that used to have an old sewing machine inside for 10 bucks! we were pumped! then i hung out with my sweet boy and we took a cute little bike ride by the beach..i love summer.. Yesterday I had a senior-ish photoshoot with the wonderful Emily Dennis over here. She is amazing, she's only been shooting for about a year, and pretty much taught herself everything. This year she asked me to be her "senior representative" where i would do photoshoots with her for advertisement and then she will take my senior pictures. Last night my sister Paige and I went out with her for a little sister shoot. It was sooo much fun! Emily just cracks me up! Her husband Matt was there recording the whole shoot for a video they will be making! I can't wait to see! First we headed out to an old barn with a turquoise door! Turquoise!! It was amazing! And inside there was an old vintage car, we were in heaven! Then we went out to a friends lakefront property, but it got pretty chilly so we didn't get many there! So check out her page! i think we took a wrong turn..

so, yesterday i headed up the road to Hancock to run with an old cross country coach and his team. First we stretched, did some abs and off we went, the boys together and the girls and coach. Our plan was to run about 4 miles, long story short..we've been running for what it seems to be a long while, i look at my watch and see 1 hour 5 minutes..holy pooop shit thats a long time, seeing as i haven't run in 2 weeks..but any who were on a dirt road, see a truck..man helps us to school, run over..7.6 miles..ouch. needless to say i was beat..dead..so now i have to drive home 35 minutes after running 7.6 miles and only eaten a piece of banana bread for breakfast..pshh water? whats that? who drinks that? HA! well lets just say i'm near my grandparents house and i was sooo close to passing out and still had about 5 minutes to get home, yeah i definetly stopped..then came home and napped for 2 hours..hah, never "getting lost" again! But on the bright side..my favorite show was on last night Pretty Little Liars..judge on! i love it! so i watched my lovely show and drank some lovely orange tazo tea!

oops, a little late

saying this past week was busy would be an understatement, but since I'm exhausted..it's staying at that. Well lets see, since we last spoke, well since then, I've...got a nice sunburn, (hot, i know) i've spend time with my family, and sweet boy (parker), i had a sports athletic banquet for track. Talk about put me to sleeeeep. And now were at Friday..i worked 10-7 and i was a good day, quite busier than normal. This weekend in the big town of L'Anse, Michigan was our annual Laketrout Festival, about 100 fishing boats, and a lot of people. I was kind-of man i had to work both days and didn't get to go have fun, but it was flipping hotter than the Sahara so it was alright..Saturday i worked 8:30-6:30 (ha!) it was a joyyy, remember i work here! But let me tell you, those 10 hours sure helped my little bank account. Anywho, let see..Sunday was yesterday..and i hung out by my pool with my family and some friends, it was fun and i got my tan on. Then i spent the rest of the night with my sister, her bf Bryant, and Parker. I know, i probably seem boring...(i'm not) ;) i'm still learnin' here! my weekend through instagram

Here are a few pictures from my weekend..i was sooooo busy, but it was all fun. Saturday was track UP finals which consisted of waking up at 6:30 riding a bus for an hour and a half, running the first event {3200 relay}. Freezing my bee-hind off all day to run the last event {1600 relay}. Other than the freezing and waiting, it was a good day. Then Sunday we had my baby brothers birthday party.. I cannot believe he is already seven..sniffle..sniffle. This spoiled little guy got a dirt bike..and boy was he happy! So needless to say i am pretty tired today, and probably going to do a lot of sitting around..but i mean who doesn't like to do that!
